My love for food started in in Madison Heights, VA, where I was raised. I was first introduced to Culinary Arts at Amherst County High School, and after growing a passion for the art, I decided to challenge myself by going to culinary school at JNA Institution of Culinary Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Due to a desire to further my education in business, I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and then received a degree in Management at James Madison University, due to a desire to further my education in the business field. While in school at JMU, I worked as a Sous Chef and had the pleasure to cook for the Admiral of the Navy Seals, Luke Bryan, Old Crow and many other notable clients.
After moving to Northern Virginia, I became a diplomatic private chef in Washington, D.C. where I cooked for a variety of guests, such as Ambassadors to the United States and CNN news anchors. As the owner of Chef Jaycee LLC, I have catered private brunches and dinners for NFL players, high profile CEOs, CNN reporters, ambassadors to the United States, and White House officials. I have also had the honor of competing in multiple cooking competitions in the DMV area and have held cooking classes for well known corporate companies.
